Not quite of the same standard as a premium big-name brand but well made and should last a long time with a little regular cleaning and oiling.I tested them out with a mix of cables from 2-core lighting flex to fixed wiring twin and earth, and 4 core too. They handled it all without any problem. No they’re not perfect as wire cutter, or as strippers either but this is an all-in-one DIY tool for someone who doesn’t want to buy multiple tools at a high price each. If you want that level of quality and performance, then you need to pay for it. There are great for what they’re designed to do and as such I can’t fault them.

Perfectly acceptable alternative to the expensive brands
I took a chance on these as my knipex went walkabout! They do the job, although are a tiny bit bigger than I’m used to. I can’t fault them otherwise

Solid, yet slender
I’m really impressed with these. They’re robust and strong and yet have slender tips so that you can get them into narrow spaces. Also good at wire cutting – I had some artificial flowers with stems that were too long – plastic coated wire – and it cut through them really well without excessive force (I am super weak). I also used it to undo and redo bolts. Happy.

Excellent tool. You can buy a Knipex version at 4 times the price if you like designer gear. Great ergonomic feel, perfect balance for electrical second fix. Only improvement I would like to propose to the design team would be to incorporate a knife blade in the handle for neat trimming of cable sheaths. That’s a suggestion that would elevate this tool from equal to above others

I offered to do three floral wreaths for an upcoming wedding. We went to an artificial flower warehouse and I bought the wire cutters they had there. They were not much use at all, wouldn’t cut a lot of the wires and left messy ends. So, I took a chance on these and I can’t sing their praises enough. They have easily cut though a variety of sized wires and left a lovely clean, neat cut each time. They’re a nice size that feel solid and chunky in your hand, but not heavy. They are very comfortable to hold and put no strain on thumbs or fingers. I would not hesitate to recommend them at all, they make jobs so much easier!
